Sattlerhoff Sudsteiermark -Sauvignon Blanc – 2016 (Kensington Wine Market)
Somewhat unique to find a Sauvignon Blanc from Austria as opposed to a Gruner Veltliner or a Riesling so thought this would be something a little different. To me this comes surprisingly close to a Loire treatment where the herbaceous qualities are somewhat muted and the acidity is dialed down a touch.
Tasting Notes: Definitely detect both citrus and stone fruits on the front palate with bell pepper and some flint notes on the back. A smooth wine with good balance.
