Donnhoff – Riesling – 2015 (Kensington Wine Market)

This Riesling is from the Nahe region and comes from a “living legend”.  The Rheingau typically gets more attention from the tourists but Donnhoff makes outstanding Rieslings and this is just the entry level of what they do.  I love Helmut Donnhoff’s quote: “Most people in wine today make it for business. I make it for me, myself!”

Tasting Notes: So this is a wine of green apple, lime and it has a wonderful floral nose of white blossom. It is distinguished by its tingling minerality.  This is by far the best food wine of the flight.
