Torreon de Paredes – Carmenere – 2015 (J Webb)
If you have not tried a Carmenere, this may be a great wine to start out with. The grape was originally grown in the Medoc and went out of fashion and then started to re-appear in the new world, particularly in Chile, where they mistook it for Merlot. Torreon de Paredes is located in Rengo which is recognized as a terroir of fine wines.
Tasting Notes: Black fruit character and distinguishable green pepper nuances, smooth and round but a nice richness to this wine, big enough to impress
