Les Volcans – Cotes d’Auvergne Gamay Pinot Noir – 2016 (Metrovino)

I always say that Pinot Noir does not play well with others but Gamay Noir if blended properly can be the exception.  Les Volcans refers to the volcanic terroir of the Auvergne appelation which shows nicely in the wine.  It is tank fermented to produce a nice light summer wine that should be served at a slight chill.

Tasting Notes:  Bright red cherry and strawberry, fresh, crisp with good acidity, bit of the volcanic terroir sneaks through creating a nice minerality
