Truchard – Cabernet Sauvignon – 2013 (Zyn)

Truchard makes a stellar Chardonnay that I have had on many occasions so I thought I would try their Cab.  This one comes from the Carneros which is more of a Pinot Noir climate so I was concerned about the ripeness on the fruit.  It was decent but not of the same depth and quality of the others in this flight.

Tasting Notes: Attractive nose of cherry, violet and tobacco leaf.  Dark cherry on the front palate but not rich and ripe.  Some hints of spice, cedar and tobacco on the finish.  A little lean and a little green!
