Trimbach – Riesling – 2013 (Zyn)

Trimbach is one of the most consistent producers I know and their Riesling never disappoints as Alsace has one of the best wine climates going and great terroir to boot.  Ribeauville is a top wine destination for me with the Haut Koenigsbourg Castle and the Cigognes (storks) to entertain.  I think you will find the complexity most desire in this wine.  The Alsatians would tell you to have this with their famous onion tarte!

Tasting Notes:  I start to get a little more stone fruit on this one with white peach and pear and dare I say a hint of tropical pineapple.  But add in some strong minerality, some honey and an herbal quality too.
