Espino – Chardonnay – 2014 (Zyn)
I am always game to try a wine that offers a twist. A Chilean Chardonnay but made by a top French producer from Chablis in William Fevre. This wine is from Maipo but Fevre changed things up by planting along the sides of the valley instead of the valley floor. I think the oak is subtle and well balanced in this wine. A very good value wine.
Tasting Notes: Lemon and pear and toast on the palate. Muted nose but definitely and oak presence. A crisp, fresh satisfying wine but with enough body to balance things off.
