Tenuta di Corte Giacobbe – Pinot Grigio – 2016 (Kensington Wine Market)
Here is an example of an orange wine you have heard so much about done in ramato style! The juice is kept in contact with the skins for 12 hours to give this wine a unique amber to copper colouring. This to me is a perfect companion with a steelhead trout or perhaps another style of fatty fish. It would be great as an aperitif if desired.
Tasting Notes: Great floral nose on this wine. Strikingly bold acidity. Peach and cantaloup on the front palate and some tropical fruit on the back. Very fruit forward with a medium finish.
