The Ned – Sauvignon Blanc – 2016 (Zyn)

The Brits love this wine as one million bottles of “The Ned” end up landing there each year.  This is definitely the New Zealand style in terms of classic characteristics.  There is nothing muted about this wine.  I was hoping for a bit of complexity here as I thought the vines may see elevation on “The Ned” but I didn’t catch anything special of note.

Tasting Notes:  Green, grassy and gun flinty. Fresh and crisp with racy acidity and yes, that hint of cat-pee on the nose.
