Los Vascos Grande Reserve – Cabernet Sauvignon – 2013 (Willow Park)
This Chilean wine from the Colchagua Valley has great earthiness and some nice tertiary notes. I like the bright fruit in this wine and it never hurts that your wine is under the banner of Domaine Barons de Lafite Rothschild. You get new world value with a bit of Old World complexity and winemaking. Well done!
Tasting Notes: Black currant and plum are distinctive on the palate but also lots of interesting notes on this one. A distinct nutty flavour, some forest floor on the nose and palate as well as some tertiary notes of dark chocolate and coffee.
