Fougeray de Beauclair – Bourgogne Rouge – 2014 (Zyn)
I had to try a Burgundian Pinot and this a perfect example of the basic village wine with plenty of elegance and charm. It is very tart and fresh. The fruit dominates the palate but there is a vegetal quality that I quite like. The tannins in this wine are very smooth and everything is wonderfully balanced. This would be great with game hen!
Tasting Notes: Light fruit profile of red cherry and raspberry. Great acidity with well-rounded tannins. Vegetal notes on the nose these flavours come through on the finish.
