So you may have thought I would go for a eucalyptus influenced Coonawarra for a Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia but I decided to try the far Southwest tip of the island and go for a Margaret River instead.  The climate is more Mediterranean here as opposed to Bordeaux so no risk of rot and there is great hang time for Cabernet to develop some character.

Tasting Notes: Strong flavours of blackberry and black currant. It’s all woody and spicy with nice mouth feel.  Fruit forward but less aggressive than some of the Cali cabs.  It finishes off with some nice chocolate and cedar notes.
