Tantalus – Riesling – 2016 (Bin 905)
Canada is on the map when it comes to Riesling and although I give the nod to Niagara overall I could not resist picking the Tantalus Riesling from the Okanagan. This is definitely in on off dry style compared to the others I have reviewed that a quite dry. I think this wine shows great balance all around and does a great job of balancing off the residual sugar with the refreshing acidity. Very good winemaking going on here and with the RS try it out with some Thai!
Tasting Notes: I get so much Granny Smith apple on this wine and find the citrus qualities sneak through on the mid palate. Long finish where the minerality of the terroir comes through. Young and fresh!
